Below, the A1 Triad Seaplane on loan from the San Diego Air & Space Museum.  This is the water taxi during the "100 Year Anniversary of Naval Aviation" on Feb. 12, 2011.  The A1 Triad was the first aircraft purchased by the US Navy and was the first Amphibious Seaplane to fly in the world.  The US Navy trained their first pilots at San Diego Bay in 1911 in the A1 Triad Seaplane.
