Two blocks from the Gibbs Flying Service is the Casa Machado Restaurant.  Many of our passengers grab a bite to eat at Casa Machado after our exiting Seaplane Safari.  Click here or on the photo below for a map:

The Casa Machado Restaurant is on the second floor of the Passenger Terminal Building and the sun deck up stairs has a nice view of the runways.  It is a good place to hang out if you arrive early for your flight.  There is an elevator on the east side of the building.  There is free parking on both sides of the Terminal Building.

There is easy access to San Diego Seaplanes from these freeways:    I-805,  I-163 and I-15 Freeways.

From I-805 going NORTH take the Kearny Villa Road exit and go right (north-east), after 1/4 mile go right (east) on Aero Drive, after ½ mile go left (north) on John Montgomery Drive.  Go 50 feet and turn right into the Gibbs Flying Service Parking Lot. Parking is free.

From I-805 going SOUTH take the Balboa exit, and go right (east) on Balboa, after ½ mile go right (south) on Kearny Villa Road, after ½ mile go left (east) on Aero Drive, after ½ mile go left (north) on John Montgomery Drive.  Go 50 feet and turn right into the Gibbs Flying Service Parking Lot. Parking is free.

From I-163 going NORTH take the Kearny Villa Road/ Mesa College exit and go right (east) on Kearny Villa Road, after ½ mile go right (east) on Aero Drive, after ½ mile go left (north) on John Montgomery Drive.  Go 50 feet and turn right into the Gibbs Flying Service Parking Lot. Parking is free.

From I-163 going SOUTH take the Balboa exit, turn left at the first light (Mercury) and left on Balboa, after 1/4 mile go right (south) on Kearny Villa Road, after ½ mile go left (east) on Aero Drive, after ½ mile go left (north) on John Montgomery Drive. Go 50 feet and turn right into the Gibbs Flying Service Parking Lot. Parking is free.

From I-15 going SOUTH or NORTH, take the Aero Drive exit and go west 1 mile. When you see the airplanes on your right you are almost there. Turn right (north) onto John Montgomery Drive. Go 50 feet and turn right into the Gibbs Flying Service Parking Lot. Parking is free.
